Mollie Jackman is a minimalist poet currently working on composing her first collection. She has spent time screening poetry manuscripts for The Missouri Review and Persea Books, and served as the Managing Editor at Voice A Story Magazine.
A lover of all things furry, she spends her spare time with her fur family – Fletcher (dog) and Maisie (cat). She also has a habit of collecting strays.
An activist since age 15, Mollie has always had a passion for helping others. She attended the Fourth Estate Leadership Summit at UCLA in 2013 where she met with 1,400 passionate, creative young people and mentors like director Tom Shadyac and founder of To Write Love on Her Arms, Jamie Tworkowski. Since that summer she has been devoted to bringing the spirit of the Summit to her work and her life, reminding herself and others of the importance of being passionate and ‘paying attention.’
